Why this university

  • Selection based 100% on comprehensive document evaluation

In the general admission track, all departments (majors) select applicants solely through comprehensive evaluation of submitted documents. The only program with an interview is the Film Arts major within the School of Art and Creative Studies (Art Admission Track, 40% documents + 60% interview).

  • Up to 100% tuition reduction for the first semester based solely on TOPIK level

The Entrance Scholarship (A) provides tuition reductions of 100% for TOPIK Level 6, 80% for Level 5, 60% for Level 4, and 40% for Level 3. Those who have completed Level 4 or higher in the Korean language program at the university's own Korean Language Education Center receive a 40% reduction through Entrance Scholarship (B) (limited to the first semester immediately after admission; cannot be combined with other benefits).

  • There are application pathways even without a TOPIK score

In addition to TOPIK Level 3, language requirements can also be met by completing Level 3 or higher in the regular program at the university's own Korean Language Education Center, completing Intermediate 1 or higher in the Basic Curriculum at an overseas King Sejong Institute, or passing the university's own 'Soongsil Korean Proficiency Test' (scoring 60 or above out of 100). The Soongsil Korean Proficiency Test is an online oral exam with an application fee of 40,000 KRW.

  • Up to three admission rounds per semester

For the 2027 academic year first semester, applications are accepted in three rounds (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) spanning October, November, and December, giving applicants three chances to apply (the Film Arts major only offers the 1st and 2nd rounds).

  • 40 admission units across 9 colleges

New admissions are recruited across 40 admission units within the Colleges of Humanities, Law, Social Sciences, Economics and Trade, Business Administration, Natural Sciences, Engineering, IT, and AI, of which 34 also accept transfer students for 2nd and 3rd year.

  • Programs to help international students adjust

The university operates specialized liberal arts courses for international students, TOPIK preparation classes, learning ability assessment/tutoring/1:1 learning coaching for foreign undergraduate students, counseling with foreign-language-proficient counselors, a mentor-mentee program pairing students with Korean students (Soongsil Friends), and career capability enhancement workshops.
