Looking for a job after graduation — Job Seeker (D-10) status
If you do not get a job right after graduation, you can change to Job Seeker (D-10) status and look for work. Once you have a job, you change again to the status that fits it.
From 29 October 2025 you can stay up to 1 year at a time and up to 3 years in total. While job seeking you can do internships in professional (E-1 to E-7) fields — up to 1 year at one company, with no limit on the total internship period.
A points system applies to general job seeking (D-10-1). Check the official guidance for eligibility, the points standard, exemptions and how soon after graduation you must apply.
Changes to the Job Seeker (D-10) system are expected to be announced. Check the latest notices before you apply.
