• Selection Based Solely on Document Review, No Interview

  The special admissions track for Government-invited scholarship students and foreigners whose both parents are foreigners is evaluated through document review only, and as a principle, applicants who meet the eligibility requirements and submit the required documents without issue are selected as successful candidates.

• No Limit on Number of Admissions

  For all admission units in freshman admission and 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year transfer admission, the number of admissions is marked as 'no limit' (Government-invited scholarship students are marked as 0). However, the Department of Early Childhood Education, Department of Nursing, and Department of Architecture do not recruit.

• TOPIK Level 2 Also Accepted for Science, Engineering, and Arts/Physical Education Tracks

  The basic requirement is TOPIK Level 3 or higher, or the university's own MOPIK Level 3 or higher, but for the natural sciences, engineering, and arts/physical education tracks, applicants with TOPIK Level 2 or higher can apply (must complete at least 300 hours of Korean language training within one year after admission).

• Recruitment Up to the 3rd Round per Semester

  Based on the 2026 academic year second semester, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round recruitment is conducted across May and June, giving applicants three opportunities to apply.

• Bank Balance Certificate Waived for Graduates of the University's Korean Language Education Center

  The bank balance certificate (in the applicant's or parent's name, KRW 16,000,000 or more) can be replaced with a certificate of enrollment or completion from the university for those currently enrolled in or who have completed the university's Korean Language Education Center, as well as for exchange students.

• English Track in the Division of Global Convergence

  The Global Business and Global IT majors within the Division of Global Convergence at the Appenzeller Shared University are English tracks in which 50% or more of graduation credits are conducted in English, and applicants can apply with TOEFL 530 (iBT 71), IELTS 5.5, or CEFR B2 or higher.

• 44 Departments/Majors University-wide

  The 2026 academic year department (major) introduction booklet lists all departments across the university, including the Division of Undeclared Majors, Department of Early Childhood Education, Department of Nursing, and Department of Architecture (5-year program). Among these, 33 admission units are available for application through the special admissions track for foreign students, and there is a separate Division of Global Convergence at the Appenzeller Shared University dedicated to international students.
